'AHS' Star Ben Woolf, a.k.a. Meep, Is Hospitalized

by Alyse Whitney

American Horror Story: Freak Show star Ben Woolf was hospitalized after being struck in the head by a car on Thursday night in Hollywood. The actor, who played Meep on the most recent installment of Ryan Murphy's hit FX show, was crossing the street and hit by the mirror of an SUV as it drove by, according to a statement from law officials at the Los Angeles Police Department. TMZ reports that Woolf is in intensive car after being rushed to the hospital, but the driver was not ticketed because Woolf "was jaywalking when he was struck." So far, there have not been any updates on his personal Twitter account or anyone from the AHS family.

The LAPD also told E! News that this was not a hit-and-run accident. "No crime was committed. The driver remained at the scene," officials said. The 4'4" actor (who was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism at a young age) has not signed on for AHS' next season yet, but was a major part of Freak Show and also played Infantata in Season 1 (a.k.a. Murder House). As of Friday morning, he is still in critical condition at an LA hospital, and we are sending well wishes for his speedy recovery.
