Kristen Bell-Designed Tote Saves Lives

by Augusta Statz

Kristen Bell may be busy staring in House of Lies and taking care of her two daughters, but she’s still finding the time to help others. And she’s doing so in a stylish way. Impressive! Partnering with This Bar Saves Lives and Apolis, Kristen Bell created a tote bag that's both super cute and super functional for a good cause. I’m all for fashion in the name of charity! Can this lady possibly get any cooler?

This Bar Saves Lives is an organization that sells granola bars. For every bar purchased, a hungry child is given food. Bell's tote works similarly — for every bag sold, a malaria patient receives treatment. The bag makes a bold statement with its bright red stripes and the phrase “This Bag Saves Lives” emblazoned on the front. But hey, saving lives is a bold gesture — if you’re a part of something like that, you probably want to spread the word.

Designed to be ultra functional, the bag has a water-proof lining that makes it easy to carry your groceries in, take on a picnic, or bring to the beach. Check. Check. Check. Yep, it’s perfect for spring! Did I mention that it’s also 100 percent vegan and made from recyclable materials? And that it’s only $28? Yeah, this bag is clearly a winner when it comes to functional fashion for a good cause.

So, what are you waiting for? Start saving lives, and looking cool while doing it, today!
