Uniqlo Brings Back More Jil Sander Classics

by Catie Keck

Your savior in basics is back — Uniqlo is bringing back its +J line, so you may want to hold off on spending your tax return until spring. WWD reports that Uniqlo will be bringing back the “best of” its collaboration with Jil Sander. And for those of us who worship at the altar of simple silhouettes, the Uniqlo collaboration is the equivalent of a flash sale by one of the greatest in minimalist designs.

The “Best Of +J” collection actually launched officially late last year, so, as WWD notes, this will actually be the retailer’s second straight season carrying the line. But more, they’re giving us additional seasonally appropriates basics in neutral hues. Last season’s collection included angular wool coats, silk blouses, and cashmere cardigans — all at reasonable price points (for which our bank accounts smiled). And while Uniqlo’s textiles aren’t wholly comparable to Jil Sander quality, its materials are fabulous for the cost.So what can we expect from its Spring/Summer reboot of its most popular designer collaboration? “Uniqlo said it will roll out +J shirts, jackets, pants and dresses to its stores in 15 countries and regions,” reports WWD. It’ll be available for purchase in 15 countries beginning March 9. Start saving!
