So Many Activities! Ferrell, Reilly Team Up

These two were hilarious in the surprisingly good comedy Step Brothers, so this is excellent news. According to The Wrap, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are reteaming to star in Devil's Night , a new comedy from Sony about two friends who share a love of one holiday: The night before Halloween, Devil's Night.

Not many plot details are available at this time, but the stars have been confirmed, and what we do know is already promising. As a source close to production reports that the film will follow Ferrell's character and Reilly's character, two best friends who bond over their mutual love of Devil's Night, but it eventually becomes responsible for breaking up their friendship. They reunite 15 years later, however, when Devil's Night in their neighborhood begins growing out of control — and team up "to save their neighborhood from utter destruction."

Also, Devil's Night, if you're not aware, is the night before Halloween "when the real mischief and debauchery goes down."

There's no word yet on when we should possibly expect Devil's Night to go into production, but this seems like definitely one to watch. Step Brothers was an unexpectedly hilarious success in the box office, and with the same crew behind it — Adam McKay directing and Gary Sanchez Productions producing — this could very well end up being one of the better comedies in recent years.
