The Kanye West x Adidas Collection Will Cost You

by Stephanie Chon

Turns out Kanye West has been trying to make a conscious effort in making his clothing lines more affordable to the public. He’s currently working on his collection with Adidas, which will include hoodies, sweatshirts, shoes and leather bags. Can you guess how “affordable” Kanye West’s Adidas collection will be?

Marked at an estimated retail price of $430, West’s simple hoodies will cost the pocket change...of a gazillionaire. Knits will cost anywhere from $800 to $1,654 and outwear tops will go for about $4,000. Oh phew, that’s good news I was expecting something in the $5,000 range, but $4,000? I can totally afford that. You can sense my sarcasm, yes?

In a Style.com interview, West said, “We’re working on the prices now, I don’t have the exact prices. But what I will tell you is that we’ll eventually get them super inexpens-” Uh-huh, Kanye Imma let you finish, but, uh, Nordstrom Rack has the most inexpensive designer clothes in the market. Just sayin’.

The most affordable item in the collection are a pair of Yeezy 350 Boost kicks, which will be sold at a retail price of $210. I think it's safe to say that the general public won’t be rockin’ any of his threads anytime soon. Not until they save up for a few months, at the very least.

In case you forgot what his "affordable" collection looked like, here it is below.
