Our Predictions If Kaitlyn is 'Bachelorette'

by Nicole Pomarico

Ever since The Bachelor showrunner, Mike Fleiss, hinted that they'd be making an announcement about who will be the next Bachelorette during this Monday's finale, I've been on the edge of my seat waiting to find out if it's going to be Kaitlyn Bristowe or Britt Nilsson. I've loved Kaitlyn since the first time she stepped out of that limo and told the dirty joke that would precede her awesome sense of humor for the rest of the season, so I'm hoping she's the one we get to see find love on this upcoming season of The Bachelorette. Not just because she's deserving of it, especially after Chris Soules was so inconsiderate of her feelings when he eliminated her after the Fantasy Suite dates, but because she's going to bring a fresh take on a show that's been around for ten seasons and is in desperate need of one. And if Kaitlyn is the next Bachelorette , I already have my predictions lined up for her.

Obviously, Kaitlyn would give the guys on her season a run for their money — even though she'd probably keep them laughing the entire time. But Kaitlyn would make an awesome Bachelorette, and if ABC does call her name on Monday night, here's what needs to happen during her season.

Jimmy Kimmel Needs To Come Back

Kimmel and Kaitlyn seemed to get along really well when he came over to the mansion for the cookout, so I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up to size up her dating pool. Kimmel, as a father, understands how important it is for Kaitlyn to end up with a guy who can truly appreciate her and complement her personality, so he wouldn't be a bad advisor to have on hand. Plus, the episode of The Bachelor he appeared in was one of the best this season, so I definitely want to see what else he has up his sleeve.

She Will Read Her Contestants Like a Book

Kaitlyn's not up for BS, and she isn't going to play games, so I feel like in the beginning, making eliminations is going to be really easy for her. If there are any male versions of Kelsey, Kaitlyn will see right through them. I can't see her letting her feelings get in the way of making the tough decisions that being The Bachelorette sometimes calls for.

She'll Have The Most Interesting Dates In Bach-Nation History

I doubt anyone is going to the Badlands this time around, like Chris did on his awful two-on-one with Kelsey and Ashley I. — which, by the way, had to be one of the worst dates ever. Kaitlyn's dates will be more in line with her Jimmy Kimmel-fueled Costco date. I could totally see her taking her guys to do something more unusual and fun, like jumping out of a plane or going to one of those places where the floor is made of trampolines.

She'll Go Out Of Her Way To Do Right By The Guys

After seeing how Chris tended to only consider his own feelings — and, briefly, the feelings of his motorcycle — during eliminations and the decision making process and knowing what it feels like when you're affected by that kind of thing, I can't see Kaitlyn doing the same. Having learned from Chris' mistakes, I can see her trying to make things as painless as possible for her suitors, and that's one of the things I love most about her.
