Nick Jonas Is The Perfect Kids' Choice Awards Host

I've been confused by many of the recent choices to host Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. There have been a lot of middle-aged celebrities, and I think most kids and teens want to see someone they can relate to a little easier. It's not 2002, no one is excited to see Will Smith get slimed anymore, not even Jaden Smith. But this year, the awards took a step in the right direction and has snagged a host that the kids in the audience will actually be excited to see, because the 2015 Kids' Choice Awards host is Nick Jonas. See, with Jonas at the helm, not only the kids get to see one of their favorite singers on stage, but I'm sure the parents aren't complaining either, know what I'm saying?

In addition to being someone who really won the whole puberty game, Jonas is actually a very qualified host, I'd even go as far to say, Nick Jonas is the perfect host. I know, big statement, but hear me out. Assuming he can not James Franco the award show and royally screw it up, Nick might be a great person to go to for hosting stints in the future. Here are just a few reasons why.

He's Been A Host Before

Not only did Jonas have a pretty serious hosting gig in 2013, but he reportedly also met his current girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, at the gig, so keep alert, Kids' Choice Awards attendees. In 2013, Jonas actually hosted the Miss USA pageant with Giuliana Rancic. And that's a show that tends to feel very dated, so you need a host with some va-va-va-voom.

He Can Do The Solo Thing

And he looks good doin' it. In 2013, the JoBros officially called it quits on the band, which eventually led to the Nick Jonas album, which was crazy successful and probably made the other JoBros "Jealous" (HA. Get it? JK, they totally support each other.)

He Knows What Nick Is About

Maybe this sounds cheesy, but I LOVE CHEESE. What better person to lead the identity of the Nick brand than someone named Nick? He knows what it's like to represent the Nick name and won't mispronounce the network. He's got it all figured out when it comes to being "Nick."

He's Won A Kids' Choice Awards Before

Look at those baby JoBros! In 2008 and 2009, the Jonas Brothers won for "Favorite Music Group" at the Kids' Choice Awards, and at that time (OK, it was only for three months when Camp Rock came out) I worked at a Limited Too, and I can attest that they really were the fave group of the time. (Also, Nick T-shirts sold more than Kevin or Joe... shhhhh.)

Nick was also solo nominated in 2010 and 2011 for his acting on Jonas, but he didn't win.

He's Also Nominated Now

How fun will it be if Jonas, who is nominated for Favorite Male Singer, hosts and wins? Seriously, who better to host the show than someone who knows what it is like to be a Nick superstar?

If Something Goes Wrong, He Can Just Sing

Look how fun and carefree he is while singing this totally off-the-cuff "Nickelodeon" song. (And note how well he pronounces "Nick.") If all else fails, Jonas can start singing anything and I'd be OK with it. Seriously, he could sing "99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall" and I would watch like this.
