Charli XCX's "Famous" Music Video Will Scare You

Aside from the fact that she's a crazy talented singer-songwriter, one reason I have such an appreciation for Charli XCX's artistry is simply because when it comes to her video performances, she lives up to her mantra of breaking the rules by boldly venturing past the boundaries of sanity. For example, there were so many inexplicable scenes featured in Charli and Rita Ora's "Doing It" video that I could hardly contain my bewilderment. From all of her crazy costumes and the quirky choreography to the Speedo-wearing older gentleman prancing around with a tray of candy, I thoroughly enjoyed every single brow-raising moment of it. As a recent newcomer to Charli XCX fandom, I expect to be equally entertained by every one of her videos from here on out. Luckily, this teaser of Charli XCX’s music video for “Famous” suggests that the final cut will deliver some creepily delightful results.

On Friday the “Boom Clap” singer shared a short preview of the “Famous” video on her YouTube page ahead of its official premiere date on March 23 during the YouTube Music Awards. Since "Famous" was released in December, Charli XCX and her team of creative video-producing experts have had plenty of time to assemble something that will apparently leave us all a little bit scared, a lot intrigued, and most importantly, prepared to bust a move or two.
