Jon Hamm Completes Rehab For Alcohol Abuse

According to a new report from TMZ, Mad Men star Jon Hamm completed a rehab stint for alcohol abuse. Though few details are known at this time, the gossip site explains that the program lasted 30 days, and Hamm checked himself into the facility himself. As unexpected as this news is to hear, it's at least good to hear that Hamm got the help he needed.

As reported by TMZ, Hamm's representatives have released the following statement on behalf of the Mad Men star: "With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward."

As Variety — who confirmed TMZ's initial reports through Hamm's representatives — adds, Hamm is said to have checked himself in to Silver Hill Hospital — described as a "high-end facility" — in New Canaan, Connecticut last month, and recently finished the 30-day program.

Though Hamm himself hasn't spoken out about the news, there have been a few rumors over the years that the 44-year-old may have been struggling with alcoholism, and it's good to see that Hamm thankfully took steps towards getting help with his recovery.
