Mariah Carey & James Corden Karaoke Her Songs

by Alyse Whitney

It seems like James Corden's The Late Late Show is gunning for Jimmy Fallon fans' hearts. On Wednesday, Corden and Mariah Carey sang carpool karaoke, which may be better than Fallon's classroom instruments videos. OK, they're both equally amazing, but Carey singing "Vision of Love" in the passenger's seat of a Range Rover is a pretty epic first segment. The story behind it is that Corden didn't want to drive to set alone, so Carey carpooled with him, and his "radio" happened to be tuned to all of her hit songs. Although she protests at first, claiming she was "up all night," she quickly joins in once Corden starts hitting the high notes.

It all starts with "Always Be My Baby," before moving into the Bad Boy remix of "Fantasy" (complete with Corden's rapping), "Vision of Love," and then her explicit newer track "Thirsty." There is not only singing — and really belting when Corden hits the high notes right with Carey — but Big Hero 6 fist bumps, dancing, imitating each others' accents, and bantering, too. When Carey gets flirtatious, Corden tries to fight it, though. "Stop it. I'm a married man, you've got to stop what you're doing," he warns jokingly. "I know I'm your dream lover," she replies confidently. She also points out that since she has 18 No. 1 singles, she will be 18 forever — that's why her "age stays the same." And here we were all thinking it was just a fountain of youth. Watch the amazing karaoke session below.
