You Have More in Common With Brit Than You Think

by Rachel Semigran

I don't know about you, but I'm having a hard time these days not falling in love with all things Britney Spears. She pumps me up at the gym, gives me a reason to dance around in my living room, AND makes me actually want to visit Vegas. Gambling-schmambling, I want Britney! Not only does she churn out endlessly catchy pop tunes, she's also become incredibly endearing over the past few years. I want to hang out with Brit as much as I want to see her in concert. Gone are the days of K-Fed and denim jumpsuits. Britney at 33 is the Britney she was probably always meant to be: down-to-earth and surprisingly relatable. In an interview with People magazine, Britney Spears opened up about Charlie Ebersol, her boyfriend of six months, and it makes her all the more charming.

Spears' idea of a perfect date and how she celebrates her birthdays is simpler than you might think. She might be a pop megastar, but she doesn't come across as a diva. In fact, she's pretty far from it. The Louisiana native is a sucker for romance and talks about food like Liz Lemon. What's not to love?

Here's how this shows just how much you (probably) have in common with Britney Spears. Enjoy!

Her Perfect First Date Really Is Perfect

When Ebersol asked her what she wanted to do on their first date her response was, "Cook for me!" Then she explained, "So he made fish, mushrooms, avocado with a dressing, and tomatoes and mozzarella. It was amazing." Well done Mr. Ebersol, well done.

She referred to Ebersol as, "Adorably hot." Paul Rudds of the world, rejoice!

How She Celebrated Her Birthday Was Delicious & Adorable

Ebersol apparently has the whole birthday thing down too. According to Spears, "For my birthday, we made waffles on the floor, with candles, and he bought me a real beautiful cake and a beautiful gift that I have on the wall. One of my favorite songs is 'Thank U,' by Alanis Morissette, and he put all the words to the song in a long frame. It was really thoughtful." Waffles and Alanis? Perfection. Speaking of...

Alanis forever!

When It Comes to Love, She Falls For The Simple Things

After they met Spears said, "There was something about him that made me feel really peaceful and at ease." At the end of the day, those simple things really do go a long way.
