Trevor Noah's Twitter Is Hilarious

by Sofia Barrett-Ibarria

He may not be very well known by TV audiences in the U.S., but that's about to change. South African comedian Trevor Noah will replace Jon Stewart on The Daily Show following Stewart's decision to leave, which he announced last February. If you haven't heard of Noah, get to Google ASAP. Noah appeared on The Daily Show three times before he was cast without a "formal audition" because Stewart was reportedly very impressed with his work on the show.

Noah may have bn the perfect candidate for the hosting job, because according to Variety, he's "no stranger to tackling thorny issues." He's reportedly known in South Africa for covering issues of race, politics, and his experience being biracial in his comedy.

Though Noah says he "expects criticism," as Gawker reports, he seems to know how to hilariously deal with haters. "We live in a world where some people still say Beyoncé can't sing," Noah told the New York Times, "Clearly I'm not immune to that."

If critics are unsure about Noah's new job on the Daily Show, they should redirect themselves to his Twitter account. Noah is just as witty on the Internet as he is on TV, and here are seven tweets that prove Noah will be hilarious as the new Daily Show correspondent.
