Ed Sheeran's First EDM Song Is Here

by Alex Kritselis

Over the weekend, 18-year-old Dutch DJ Martin Garrix premiered his new song with Ed Sheeran, "Rewind Repeat It," at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, and trust me: you need to hear it immediately. Not only is the massive EDM track another fine example of Garrix's increasingly impressive production skills (he debuted his fantastic Usher collaboration, "Don't Look Down," two weeks ago), it's also further proof that Sheeran can sing pretty much any style of music and still sound incredible. His vocals on "Rewind Repeat It" will simultaneously make you want to dance your face off AND cuddle with him all night long. How is that even possible?!

I have no idea. His voice is just made of magic, I guess.

On the song's first verse and chorus, the 24-year-old "Thinking Out Loud" hit-maker sings:

Stay for the night

Call it what you want

And I'll compromise to have you in my arms

Is this what you needed?

'Cause I'll find the faith in anything

Don't fight the feeling

Rewind, repeat it

Rewind, repeat it

If the world ends tonight

You'll be in my arms

We'll be frozen in time underneath the stars

My lungs are screaming

This heart is bleeding

I love this feeling

So, rewind, repeat it

Based on the Instagram pic below, it certainly looks like Garrix and Sheeran had a lot of fun working together on "Rewind Repeat It":

Hopefully, this is the beginning of a beautiful musical friendship.
