FLOTUS, Sarah Jessica, And Kerry Cover 'Glamour'

by Marc Cuenco

Talk about a cover trifecta. Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kerry Washington cover Glamour magazine's May 2015 issue dedicated to the trio of inspirational and influential women. The First Lady of the United States is joined by the two actresses and humanitarians on the cover photo, titled "Power Women: Why These Three Friends Are Teaming Up Now." Mrs. Obama stands in the center, surrounded on either side by Parker and Washington. She wears a sleeveless pink dress on the mag cover, while Parker and Washington also wear similar sleeveless styles with coordinating black, white, and pink colors. The ladies were photographed by Patrick Demarchelier and styled by Laura Ferrara for the issue.

Even though the magazine has only teased the upcoming issue with this beautiful, diverse cover, readers worldwide have begun speculating as to what brought these three together — as the cover line states — "Why these three friends are teaming up now." The powerful trio's cover story is also reportedly titled “These women need us to have their backs.” So, other than their impeccable style and strong eyebrow game, we wonder what brought FLOTUS, SJP, and Kerry together for Glamour? Here are four possible reasons:

1. The First Lady's "Let's Move" Campaign

She's already got Beyoncé and Jimmy Fallon onboard, but there's always room for a couple more A-listers to the roster.

2. "A Woman's Right To Shoes"

3. Olivia Pope Needs Back-up

It seems that everyone is turning against Washington's Scandal character, so why not get the real First Lady (the irony) and the Carrie Bradshaw to help Pope take down B6-13?

4. FLOTUS Wants Her Daughters To Meet Other Inspirational Women

Mrs. Obama feels that her daughters Sasha and Malia don't deserve to be called influential yet, but it's awesome that she's surrounding them with great examples of strong, successful women like her.
