Madonna Is 'Cosmo's 50th Anniversary Cover Girl

If there's anyone who is constantly pushing boundaries and surprising us all, it's probably Madonna. At 56, she's still turning heads—oh, and being super Madonna on the cover of Cosmopolitan for its 50th anniversary issue. The cover is about as in-your-face and fierce as they come and features Madonna wearing a mask, black jewelry, lingerie and biting what appears to be an oversized strand of pearls. The cover is fitting since Madonna was also the cover girl for the magazines 25th anniversary as well. Talk about staying relevant.

The issue also features an interview with the star on the longevity of her crazy successful career, working with Kanye West, and sexuality. All your basic topics, really. Madonna has opinions on all of the above, and isn't afraid of being upfront about them; that much is clear. And sexism in Hollywood and society in general? Madonna says it's still very present.

"Don't be fooled, not much has changed — certainly not for women. We still live in a very sexist society that wants to limit people," Madonna said. Since I started, I've had people giving me a hard time because they didn't think you could be sexual or have sexuality or sensuality in your work and be intelligent at the same time. For me, the fight has never ended."

Clearly, Madonna has been fighting (and winning) in the industry for 25+ years at this point, and a fierce magazine cover here or there? Yeah, that's not bad either, right?
