These Fashion Ad Parodies Are Hilarious

What do Gisele Bündchen, Kate Moss, and Penélope Cruz have in common? Aside from being famed fashion moguls, they have also all been spoofed by one particularly funny woman. Fashion photographer, stylist, and journalist Nathalie Croquet recreated famous fashion ads with a comical twist in a new project called Spoof, according to Refinery 29. The former photo editor clearly knows what she is doing, because the mimicked results are almost identical to the real life ads — seriously the resemblance is a little scary.

Croquet mimics the poses of high-fashion supermodels and actresses in campaigns for brands like Lancôme, Givenchy, and Isabel Marant — and the looks are so spot on, I challenge you to tell the imitations from the real thing. The French photographer went the whole nine yards with this, down to every last little detail, like the orange nail color in the Etam ad and the blood-colored lipstick in Givenchy. She's even got the models' facial expressions down pat, from the Zoolander type gaze to the seductive stare and everything in between. Who says fashion has to be serious?
