Keira's Latest Cover Is Flawless

Another British actress is following Emma Watson's lead and speaking out about feminism. Keira Knightley talked gender equality in Violet magazine, and looked completely flawless in a strong and powerful editorial. Keep up the inspiring work, ladies.

The Oscar nominated actress is on the cover of the UK magazine's latest issue in a slightly atypical pose that totally radiates strength. Instead of featuring the cover star in a cropped close-up or full-body shot, as most glossies do, the magazine instead chose a profile of Keira for the cover shot. With her brown hair blown back off her face, and her chin tilted upwards, Knightley gazes forward, her eyes penetrating with confidence.

The inside editorial does give us frontal shots, with The Imitation Game star barefoot on an oriental rug rocking printed trousers and a shoulder-padded white blouse, as well as lounging lackadaisically on a chaise in a romantic, flowing dress. With minimal makeup and natural hair, Knightley looks just as beautiful as her inspirational words. She told the magazine:

"Where are the female stories? Where are they? Where are the directors, where are the writers? It's imbalanced, so given that we are half the cinema-going public, we are half the people [who] watch drama or watch anything else, where is that? So yes, I think the pay is a huge thing, but I'm actually more concerned over the lack of our voices being heard."
