Niall Horan Is Now A Golf Caddy

Well, it looks like One Direction band member Niall Horan is now a golf caddy. Don't worry, all you 1D fanatics, because it isn't a full-time gig. For those who don't know or aren't golf fans, the Masters Tournament, a major event in professional golf, is right around the corner. Thursday, to be exact. That means, the famous Par 3 Contest is happening on Wednesday. Apparently, Horan is good friends with Rory McIlroy, who also happens to be the world's top-ranked player. And as good friends do, Horan is taking on the role of McIlroy's caddy for the contest.

The Par 3 Contest is a way for those competing in the Masters to relax, hang out with their competition, and bring their friends and family behind the scenes. Well, Horan is lucky enough to join his friend and chill with him before all the stress of the tournament begins.

As you can see below, the singer is more than thrilled to be taking part in his friend's special day. He wears that caddy attire well, doesn't he? The same goes for McIlroy, who spoke with ESPN about Horan helping him on the golf course. He said,

He's been excited to come here. He's never been to the Masters. I caught up with him in Australia at the end of last year and he was really excited, and I said, "If you're available Wednesday afternoon and you want to carry the bag for nine holes, you're more than welcome."

McIlroy added, "He's excited to be here and [I'm] looking forward to spending a bit of time with him out there tomorrow."

The event airs live on ESPN from 3-5 p.m. ET, which means 1D fans will be tuning in and making golf a much more popular sport. Don't believe me? Just check out these tweets.

I bet Directioners never thought they'd be watching golf. The Masters and ESPN can thank Horan for bringing a ton more viewers to the contest.
