Menswear Meets Sparkles In Jessie J's Ensemble

Bang Bang, indeed! British pop sensation Jessie J's 2015 MTV Movie Awards outfit is definitely different, and she's straying away from the minidress that tends to make a ton of appearances at this show every year. Even though she's the one doing the interviewing alongside Kelly Osbourne at the event's live pre-show, I'm really more interested in hearing about her sparkling oversized jacket and matching palazzo pants. This isn't your average sexy red carpet suit, people.

It's no surprise that Jessie is working something edgy, stylish, and incredibly glamourous. Her red-carpet style M.O. is far from boring, and even though her style is usually way more "cool girl" than mine, her unique looks always draw me in. Style envy, I suppose? Whatever the reason, she's always one to watch on the red carpet (or the blue carpet, in tonight's case.) While I can't say I'd actually wear this particular look, if anyone can work it, it's her.

In a contrast from her glittering outfit, Jessie's actually not working her signature bold lip, opting for a nude hue instead (which still looks fabulous.) Adding an interesting touch to her sleek hairstyle, she's got two fun braids framing her face. And always one for cool jewelry, I spy not one but three metallic chokers on the singer. Loving this unexpected stacking detail.

As interesting as this outfit is, I'd love to see her change for the show itself or slip into an incredible costume to perform in (fingers crossed!) because I'm sure there are more incredible ensembles where this came from.
