Bow Down To Empress Rihanna, Everyone

Waiting to see what Rihanna is going to wear to a red carpet event is like waiting to see if your favorite basketball ball team will come out on top at the end of the game — it is that thrilling (and also, because she always shows up last). For those of you RiRi fans out there who feel the same way, prepare to be excited: Rihanna's Met Gala 2015 ensemble is worthy of something a Chinse empress would wear. She wore a yellow gold gown with a super long train and a gold fur stole to match. BOW DOWN to Empress RiRi, everyone.

First of all, it has to be said: Rihanna is literally the only person who can pull off this outfit. How does she do it? While a lot of it has to do with the fact that she's absolutely gorgeous, I think that plenty of it comes from the confidence she exudes when she steps out in these less-than-normal ensembles. What's the number one rule of fashion? Owning it. If you own it, everyone else will believe in it and well, we are all Rihanna fashion believers at this point.

Rihanna's yellow gown was designed by Chinese couture designer Guo Pei. She wore a yellow gold headpiece over her newly-dyed red hair to match the extravagant cape gown, which was lined with fur and featured intricate embroidered detailing. She looked like a total empress of a Chinese dynasty. Rihanna cleverly chose to wear the color yellow gold, which in Chinese history, symbolized royalty. The only thing missing? I kind of wish Rihanna would've worn a crown instead because it would've really completed her whole royal queen look. Maybe she was trying to keep things modest with a floral headdress, but I mean, c'mon — this gown SCREAMS royal Rihanna.

Eva Chen, former Lucky Editor-in-Chief, applauded Rihanna for wearing a gown made by a Chinese designer, something that many celebrities actually failed to do.
