Channing Wins For Best Comedic Performance

Five hilarious actors went in, but only one came out with the popcorn-shaped trophy. When it came to Best Comedic Performance, Channing Tatum took home the MTV Movie Award, and accepted the award while attempting to bring back newsboy caps. Tatum, who won for his role in 22 Jump Street, took the stage after his name was announced by Jessie J and Mark Wahlberg who used the opportunity to make a ton of English accent jokes.

Tatum was up against Chris Pratt for Guardians of the Galaxy, Rose Byrne for Neighbors, Chris Rock for Top Five, and Kevin Hart for The Wedding Ringer.

Tatum kept his speech short and sweet. Like, reallllly short and sweet. He said of his role in the movie, "It's unfair for me to get an award for just getting to hang out with my buddy Jonah [Hill]." And finished simply, "Appreciate y'all."

I can see why Tatum would want to keep things short while accepting the award considering he already had quite the moment on stage in the night. When presenting the Best Scared As S--t Performace award to Jennifer Lopez, Tatum made some questionable comments about women, and finished off the whole thing by twerking.
