Listen To Snippets Of Britney & Iggy's New Single

by Alex Kritselis

Get hyped, pop music fans: Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea's new single, "Pretty Girls," comes out on May 5. The dynamic duo filmed the "Pretty Girls" music video in Los Angeles last week, and thankfully, some super sneaky fans recorded a few clips of the upcoming track and shared them online. Based on what we've heard so far, I think the song sounds great! If you ask me, it's definitely a "Song of the Summer" contender.

If you're a little late to the "Pretty Girls" party, I'll fill you in: the much-anticipated collaboration may have been co-written by U.K. group Little Mix ("Wings," "Salute," "Move," etc.) and produced by The Invisible Men (Azalea's "Fancy" and "Beg For It"). In a recent interview with MTV, Azalea described the single as "a true duet" that's both "powerhouse" and "cool." The rapper also revealed that the track will appear on Spears' new album, which she said is "ready." Whoa. See? I told you Spears might put out a new album in 2015!

Admittedly, the audio in these "Pretty Girls" snippets is hard to hear at times, but if you put on a pair of headphones and turn up the volume (keeping the safety of your ears in mind!), you can still get a good sense of the song's overall vibe. This first preview gives you a taste of one of the verses:

In this next clip, Spears and Azalea can be heard singing the lyrics Spears teased on Instagram last Thursday (it may be the pre-chorus):

If you listen very closely, you can hear the chorus in this final recording:

So, what do you think? I'm not-so-secretly hoping these snippets will encourage Spears and Azalea to push up the "Pretty Girls" release date — May 5 is still 22 days away, after all — but I won't hold my breath. I suppose I shouldn't complain — at least we have something to help make the wait a little bit easier!
