6 Elements Of A 'Supernatural' & 'Reign' Crossover

by Sara Steinfeld

I've had a lot of fun dreaming up different Supernatural crossover series lately. I paired it up with everyone's fave '90s witchcraft show, Charmed, and with vampire/werewolf/hybrid/doppelganger soap opera, The Vampire Diaries. As fun as it was to dream those up, I'll admit that they were a little bit easy — after all, they all had innate supernatural undertones. I wanted to challenge myself, so this time around, I've decided to think about what might happen if Supernatural and Reign crossed over. They're TOTALLY different shows, for sure, but this could be pretty awesome. Plus, it could be called SuperReign, which sounds like some kind of comic book. And I like comic books.

Sure, it wouldn't be an easy task to cross these two shows over, mainly because they take place in two completely different time periods. But it wouldn't be totally out of bounds to send Sam and Dean Winchester back in time for a season, or at least a couple of episodes. I mean, they've been to Hell, Purgatory, Heaven, and back, so the sixteenth century would be a walk in the park for them.

So, without further ado, here are six things that could happen in SuperReign to help convince you that it would totally work.

There Would Be All Of The Brother Drama

Sam and Dean definitely have a different dynamic on Supernatural than Bash and Frances on Reign. For one thing, Sam and Dean are actually brothers — Bash and Frances are just both the king's sons. However, there's nothing I love more than watching brotherly relationships, and I feel like they could all relate to each other on different levels. Dean and Bash both also have the bad-boy-but-not-really thing going on, and I enjoy that immensely.

Sam & Dean Could Team Up With Nostradamus

How helpful would it be for them to have someone who could predict the future? It would save them so much time and energy, and there'd be a really fun dynamic between the three of them. I mean, Sam and Dean know what's what in the supernatural world, but I feel like ESP isn't their jam. Nostradamus could change that!

How Wonderful Would It Be To See Sam & Dean Interact With The Royal Family?

Seriously, just imagine Dean trying to maintain proper etiquette in front of the future King and Queen of France.

You Just Know Dean Would Pursue One Of Mary's Ladies

I mean, you just know. He could be the second half of Reign 's true OTP and we'd never even know without this crossover!

Sam & Dean Would Have A Field Day In The Blood Woods

They've spent so much time hunting in the woods all over the U.S. that the Blood Woods would be like a freakin' vacation for these two.

Castiel & Clarissa Would Probably Love Each Other

As welcome as Cas is with Sam and Dean, he'll always be a little bit of an outsider, what with the whole "being an angel" thing and all. Meanwhile, Clarissa has never been accepted by her family because of her physical deformity. They really are two peas in a pod, and honestly, their couple name would be TOTALLY sweet. Clastiel? Castarissa? Ugh, such cool options.
