Lancôme Will Reveal A New Digital Platform

by Eliza Florendo

Lancôme has some of the most beautiful women in their set of ambassadors, including Lupita Nyong'o, Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, and Kate Winslet. For eight decades, the beauty brand has been seen in the pages of magazines and on the runways of the biggest fashion magazines, but now, they're getting on the web: Lancime is launching a new digital platform for its 80th anniversary on Wednesday.

According to WWD, the platform, youarelancome.com, will feature an interactive game where "women can easily customize their downloaded portraits with stickers of reinterpreted iconic products, Paris symbols, textures or illustrations created by artist Leslie David."

Members of youarelancome.com can vote for their favorite portrait, and a jury will then choose a group of 10 portraits. These winners will then be invited to the Lancôme birthday party in Paris on July 7 to celebrate its anniversary, according to WWD. And those that don't win? They'll be receiving a limited-edition gift set.

Users will be able to add colorful designs and black and white images to their portraits from Leslie David, a graphic designer and illustrator based in Paris (her client list includes the likes of Chanel, Nike, and the New York Times).

Here are some of David's posters for sale below:

Seems as if every brand is following the digital trend, and for good reason. Lancôme seems to be moving towards a more personal, customizable experience for each client, and we're all for an online space that lets us interact and play with the coveted makeup line. And with prints that gorgeous? Count me in.
