The Final 'Catching Fire' Trailer Is Here

by Rachel Simon

Thought The Hunger Games was intense? Then start preparing for the series' second installment, because the final Catching Fire trailer just premiered, and compared to this one, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Co.'s first foray into the arena seems like a walk in the park.

For those unfamiliar with the books, Catching Fire throws Katniss and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) back into the competition for a special edition of The Hunger Games, where victors from each year's competition are forced to compete against each other. At the same time she's fighting for survival in the arena, Katniss must deal with the wrath of President Snow, who's none too pleased that her rebellious act in the first Games inspired uprisings all over Panem.

And in the film's final trailer, which debuted Sunday night during Game 5 of the World Series, President's Snow haunting voiceover takes center stage: "Miss Everdeen, you fought very hard in the arena. But they were games. Would you like to be in a real war?"

The trailer opens on Katniss in the arena, shooting an arrow at the sky/President Snow, who's watching her from The Capital. Later, Katniss is seen arriving in the city with Peeta, comforting her sister, Prim (Willow Shields), and fighting against terrifying beasts and monsters created specifically by the game-makers. "Hope is stronger than fear," the trailer's tagline reads, but judging from the horrors unleashed on the Games' competitors, fear just might have the upper hand.

The spot is the last in a series of promos for the highly anticipated sequel, and is by far the most exciting. Despite hardly any dialogue other than Snow's eerie voiceover, the minute-long clip manages to leave viewers with racing and dangerously high expectations.
