How To Stream The Boston Marathon As It Happens

by Jenny Hollander

Monday marks the 119th Boston Marathon, also known as the oldest marathon in the world — which, unforgettably, was targeted in a terrorist attack two years ago that left three dead and hundreds injured. One year later, the Boston Marathon went ahead as the city worked towards healing from the tragedy. This year, security remains tight, but 30,000 are expected to run and another 30,000 will be attending as spectators. So how can you stream the 2015 Boston Marathon online?

Well, if you have a TV, you can watch the race live on Universal Sports Network (or its website, which you can find here). If you don't, the Boston Athletic Association has you covered: there's a live-stream available throughout the race here. And if you don't want to watch online but would love to keep up with the race via Twitter, you can follow @bostonmarathon, which live-tweets the race with photos, videos, facts, and multimedia. You can also follow the Boston Marathon on Facebook, which is sharing photos and facts live from the race much like its Twitter counterpart.

And if you'd like to see what the map looks like in real time, The Boston Globe has put together an interactive map of the 26.2 mile race, which you can see here.
