Is Quentin Alexander Dating Anyone?

by Daniela Cabrera

I'll admit that I haven't watched American Idol for quite a few seasons. I last watched when Jennifer Hudson was on it, and we all know that a lot has happened since then. I love a good talent show, but Idol had lost its luster after many of the winners and runner-ups kind of disappeared into the abyss after their seasons. But this season changed things for me. I caught a glimpse of quirky Joey Cook, heard the soulful voice of Clark Beckham, and got a taste of the incredible charisma and style of Quentin Alexander. Quentin has quickly become a fan favorite, leading many adoring fans to wonder if Quentin Alexander is dating anyone — it's only the natural next step when it comes to a reality TV crush.

After seeing him killing it in recent weeks with unique renditions of some of my favorite songs, I realized that he was quickly becoming my favorite contestant... ever. Last week, he caused a little Idol controversy when he stood on stage and said that it was "wack" that his closest friends on the show, Joey and Rayvon were under threat of going home. I admire that Quentin stands up for what he believes in, which can get tough when you're on a mega show like American Idol. So there, the crush began, and I am not the only one who feels this way. In fact, Quentin got a tweet of support from Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello, so it's safe to say he is going to be just fine, regardless of where his Idol road leads.

But back to the subject at hand: is he dating anyone? Well, as far as I can tell from his social media accounts, Quentin and the rest of the contestants definitely do not look to have any time to be in relationships. Most of the singer's tweets are updates to his followers on Idol rehearsals, or about hanging out with fellow cast mates and interacting with his fans after his quick and newfound fame. The only glimpse of a close relationship is with the recently eliminated Joey Cook, with whom he became best friends during this unique journey.

Quentin's Instagram also mostly documents his life as a contestant on American Idol, and quite frankly, I wouldn't want to worry about someone back home, considering that this experience is something that only a few will ever understand. Being a fan favorite, I'm almost certain that he will make it to the Top 5, go on the national Idol tour, and the 21-year-old French Connection manager from New Orleans will be living quite a different life.

As far as I can tell, Quentin is young, single, and talented and about to embark on one of the greatest adventures of his life with his music, which is undoubtedly his biggest love, anyway.
