Carly Rae Jepsen's "All That" Got A House Remix

by Alex Kritselis

If the original isn't your thing, you definitely need to check this out: Carly Rae Jepsen's "All That" was remixed by NYC production duo The Knocks, and it'll get you even more excited for the singer's upcoming new album, E·MO·TION (if that's even possible). I've been in love with "All That" since Jepsen debuted it on Saturday Night Live earlier this month, but not everybody is as smitten as I am. The 80's-tinged R&B slow jam is a pretty big departure from the peppy bubblegum pop heard on Jepsen's last album, Kiss, and some fans just aren't having it. Fortunately, that's where The Knocks' new remix — which Idolator brought to my attention on Tuesday — comes in.

Picking up the tempo considerably, The Knocks transform "All That" into a pulsating house anthem (wisely keeping its dreamy synths and funky guitar licks intact). The result should please those who aren't sold on the track yet. Come to think of it, the result should please those who love the track just the way it is, too! After all, I don't think many fans can resist the combination of Jepsen's sweet voice and a driving 4/4 beat.

According to Jepsen, E·MO·TION is due out sometime this summer.
