Kanye West Wants to Design Churches

It's really not surprising that Kanye West has lofty goals. After all, this is the same guy who told press that he's expecting "fighter jets" to be part of his upcoming wedding to Kim Kardashian. But, even though he already has "musician" and "reality star" on his resume, he's ready to add one more title: Architect. More specifically, church architect. That's right: On Tuesday, Kanye West appeared on On Air with Ryan Seacrest and told the Keeping Up with the Kardashians executive producer that he wants to design churches. #NoDisrespectToReligion?

West's credentials? The rapper claims he wants to use his Jay Z collaboration, Watch the Throne — which came under fire from religious folks because of its lyrics questioning God — as inspiration for his church. Plus, perhaps the man is qualified — this is Yeezus' creator, after all.

But, as Seacrest noted, wouldn't that be a controversial move from the man whose notoriety comes from crashing the MTV stage and planning to marry one of America's most hated reality stars? Not to mention the fact that he exhibits one of the seven deadly sins on an hourly basis: Pride. Heck, even during his interview with Seacrest, West couldn't resist extolling his own virtues. "People get hung up in the way I word things," he said. "But I'm the best. That's the bottom line ... When you talk to Michael Jordan when he's on his fifth ring, you don't ask, 'How does it feel to be one of the best basketball players?'"

West, however, isn't worried. "My concern is doing God's work," West told Seacrest. "He'll work everything else out."

And by "God's work," he surely means "Kris Jenner's work," right? Because Kanye West's Divine Design is primed for a reality show.
