'Lip Sync Battle' Should Feature These 7 Celebs

by Kenya Foy

Good news for fans of late-night lip-syncing. As reported by Deadline, Jimmy Fallon’s Lip Sync Battle has been renewed for Season 2. For those who aren't familiar, the show is basically an expanded version of the hilarious Tonight Show segment — and in its first season, it has absolutely dominated in the ratings, making history as Spike TV's most-watched original series.

So far this season, viewers have witnessed the most epic non-vocalized battles take place between huge stars like Anne Hathaway, whose performance of Miley Cyrus' “Wrecking Ball” absolutely destroyed her competitor Emily Blunt's performance of Janis Joplin/Big Brother & The Holding Company's "Piece Of My Heart," and has garnered 14 million online views to date. Equally as amazing, Anna Kendrick and John Krasinki’s lip sync battle saw Krasinski ripping off his pants and a J. Lo cameo. And I cannot talk about the awesomeness of this show without mentioning Terry Crews battling Mike Tyson, who squeezed his muscles into a pair of leather pants for a performance of Salt-n-Pepa’s “Push It.”

Whew! If that all sounds like too much to handle, then take your processing those unforgettable (and completely insane) mental images. The new season of Lip Sync Battle premiere in 2016 with 20 new episodes, which gives you plenty of time to refocus for the next batch of famous performers. But who might they be?

Here are 7 celebrities who should definitely try their hand at some faux-la-las on the Lip Sync Battle stage next season:

Apparently, the Age of Ultron star is a self-proclaimed lip sync expert.

Tom Hanks

As strange as it was seeing Hanks in Carly Rae Jepsen's "I Really Like You" video, I have to admit that he earned my respect as a professional lip syncer.

Laverne Cox

Have you seen Cox dancing to Beyoncé? Those performances make her a shoo-in for Fallon's Lip Sync Battle.

Benedict Cumberbatch

I'm convinced Emily Blunt repeating Cumberbatch's name before her Lip Sync performance was a covert way of summoning the actor to the show. Cumberbabes, unite and make this happen.

Tracee Ellis Ross

The star of black-ish already has a lip sync head start with her rapping alter ego T-Murda.

Rose Byrne

The Adult Beginners star fits the lip sync criteria: She's absolutely hilarious and she has experience competing against Fallon.

Emma Stone

Only one thing can make up for Stone's lip sync battle against Fallon on The Tonight Show and that's a rematch.
