RDJ Responds To That Awkward Interview

It's the interview walk-out heard 'round the world. As a brief refresher: Robert Downey Jr. walked out of an interview with British journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy during The Avengers: Age of Ultron press tour. Basically, Guru-Murthy wanted to dive into Downey's personal life, but the actor wasn't having it. So, Downey got up and walked out of the interview. Well, RDJ fans have been waiting to hear from Iron Man himself and he's finally spoken. On Friday, Downey responded to the awkward interview with a photo that is so Robert Downey Jr.

As you can see below, the actor posed with ABC News reporter Diane Sawyer for a photo that is being talked about just like that cringe-worthy interview. In typical Downey fashion, he captioned the photo as follows: "A corrective experience with legitimate journalism @kellyandmichael #dianesawyer #kellyandmichael#avengers #ageofultron #presstour #marvel #earlybirds"

He snapped the picture on his way to chat with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on Live! With Kelly and Michael. Funnily enough, during Downey's interview with Guru-Murthy, he even mentioned Sawyer. After the reporter inquired about Downey's past, including his father, past drug addiction, and going to jail, while walking out Downey said, “It’s getting a little Diane Sawyer in here.”

I wonder if Guru-Murthy's upset that he didn't get a hug and the opportunity for a photo-op with Downey. If he's lucky, maybe the next time (if there is a next time) he chats with Downey, he'll score a pic with Iron Man.
