Every Time Taylor Swift Was a Total Rock Star

by Kenya Foy

For all the Swifties out there who become extremely emotional when someone else insists on lowering the volume on Taylor Swift's 1989 album, here's a message for ya: Pipe down already because that entire record is legitimately louder than your average. Seriously, I'm not just saying that because Swift's soothing voice and heart-wrenching lyrics are magical enough to reverberate through the Internet from your computer to mine (although that has yet to be formally refuted). However, there happen to be some rather hard-hitting facts behind the sound of Swift's latest album. According to MTV, a new study from Ian Shepherd at Production Advice reveals that Taylor Swift's 1989 is louder than albums by AC/DC, The Sex Pistols and Metallica, among others.

See what I mean? Taylor Swift's music is louder than several heavy metal albums. That says a lot, but for someone who lives the life of a rock star, this probably shouldn't surprise anyone. Guess Meghan Trainor isn't the only pop star who's all about that bass, right guys?

Whether you agree with my puny pun (or not), just make sure you don't forget to give rock star credit where it's due. I'll admit that I've never witnessed the "Shake It Off" singer smash a guitar on stage, but that's no need to overlook 7 of Taylor Swift's most rock star moments:

When She Posted A Makeup-Free Selfie

This makeup free selfie is definitely a sign of the "don't give an eff" attitude that comes along with being a rock star.

When She Partied Like a Rock Star

With a guest list that included Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith, Jay Z and Beyoncé and more celebrities, Swift's 25th birthday party was one for the rock star record books.

When She Shook The Haters Off

It's important to note that for a rock star, dismissing haters isn't an isolated incident — it's a way of life.

When 1989 Broke A Ton Of Records

Needless to say, T.Swift was probably really feeling herself. After all, 1989 had a record-breaking debut, selling more than a million copies in its first week.

When Billboard Named Her Woman Of the Year For A Second Time

Not that the first time wasn't awesome, but receiving the honor two times in a row firmly planted her on the rock star map.

Anytime She Raps

Even if you're not a fan of Swift's rapping alter ego T. Swizzle, you gotta admit that hearing her attempt to spit a few verses is pretty ballsy.

Whenever She Busts A Move

I'll be the first to say that Swift's moves may need a little work, but at they're original and for a rock star, who could ask for anything more?
