The red carpet of this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner was filled with a mix of journalists, politicians, celebrities, and apparently, Pretty Little Liars. See, I had been under the impression that actress Troian Bellisario went to the White House Correspondents' Dinner, but apparently, I was wrong. As BuzzFeed pointed out, Pretty Little Liars' own Spencer Hastings actually attended, and I'm sure absolutely no one was surprised by that. Come on, this is Spencer. She manages to keep up great grades, participate in extracurricular activities, maintain a relationship with Toby Cavanaugh, be there for her three best friends, investigate murders, fight with her sister, and much more, all while dealing with the torture of A.
So, how do I know that it was Spencer who was at the WHCD, rocking that gorgeous white dress? Getty Images told me. In captions posted along with photos of Bellisario on the photo service's website, she was identified as Spencer Hastings. No offense to the real-life actress, but the thought of Spencer actually attending the WHCD is so much more exciting.
Obviously, Spencer would want some face-time with as many high-powered officials as possible, so she could both share her own ideas for nation's future and gather enough anecdotes to make Melissa forever jealous. And I'm sure she'd spend a few minutes with Secret Service agents, so she could pick their brains on some strategies for dealing with and catching A. Then, of course, she'd have to snap a few selfies with the many celebrities at the event, and send them to Hanna ASAP so she can pick apart their outfits. What event will Spencer attend next? Well, besides A's arraignment, hopefully.
