These Cops Hilariously Sing Their Hearts Out

With all of the important and sometimes horrifying news about the criminal justice system, it's important to remember that most police aren't bad people. For example, some of the Dover Police Department officers just want to sing in their patrol car to MAGIC!, Iggy Azalea, Bastille, Lil Jon, and, of course, Ed Sheeran. Their Sheeran needs a little work, but, hey, at least they really belt it out.

A few months ago, the police department in Delaware's capital uploaded a video of one of their officers lip syncing Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" while riding around in his patrol vehicle. Now, the officer is back at it, but this time it's a duet. The video features Master Cpl. Jeff Davis, who starred in the first video, and his friend and colleague, Cpl. Demetrius Stevenson, according to NBC News Philadelphia.

The department told NBC News that it makes the "Dashcam Confessionals" to help show a human side to the officers. And it certainly does just that. They're human and they certainly have human, non-Mariah Carey-like voices. As silly as it sounds, it's just immediately easier to trust someone who tries — and fails hilariously — to match pitch with Iggy Azalea's "Fancy." And apparently people like police officers singing along to Taylor Swift almost as much as they like T-Swift.

And, as most of us know, you feel your most unashamed and free from embarrassment while riding around and singing your favorite songs, with your best friend in the passenger's seat. There is truly nothing more freeing.

It's a little bit like hearing a pair of drunken uncles at a wedding, and their dance moves remind me of my dad's when he "gets his groove on" (yes, he actually says that), but I totally want to join them.
