Wait, Who Was That With Tyrion On 'GoT'?

In the final moments of the third episode of Game of Thrones Season 5, Tyrion is kidnapped and thanks in great part to the overwhelming darkness that overwhelms every episode of this show, you may not have seen the kidnapper's face. Well, after digging through book spoilers and increasing the brightness of my TV to the absolute maximum, I can confirm that Jorah Mormont took Tyrion. After all, he said he was taking him to "the queen," and if that sex worker dressed like Daenerys in the brothel wasn't enough of a hint, he's clearly talking about Daenerys.

Let's think about this: Jorah needs a hail mary to get back into Daenerys' good graces. I'm sure he's still hoping for more than just her good graces, but getting her to stop threatening to kill him would be a pretty serious victory too. Bringing Dany a Lannister, brethren of the usurpers in King's Landing, would probably be an alright way to do that.

And here's the part where I warn you that we're about to delve into some book spoilers. First of all, we've just skipped a great deal of Tyrion's dealings and journey. We're dropped right into the end of his plight to get to Daenerys, when he is scooped up by Jorah. And from here, things are going to get worse.

Tyrion and Mormont are eventually picked up by a slaver and treated as slaves. During this time, Tyrion and another dwarf Penny are forced to fight for an audience and they are supposed to be eaten at the end, but Daenerys is there and she stops it. I guess we can rejoice that Tyrion does eventually get to Dany as he hopes to, but it's not so easy.

Tyrion and the others will eventually become sellswords against Dany, but they'll work hard to wind up on her side somehow. Gotta give these guys some credit for trying, eh? And it pays off, because Tyrion's company eventually joins Dany's side. Of course, this takes a long, long while. So unless the HBO show decides to cut out a whole bunch of the action the way they did at the start of Tyrion's journey, we'll have to wait a while to see this come to fruition for the beloved character.

Just, you know, don't lose heart, Tyrion fans. It will get better for this guy.
