So Long, Sweet Meatwad

Adult Swim's longest-running series is coming to an end — Aqua Teen Hunger Force will begin its final season on June 21. For 13 seasons, Frylock, Master Shake, and Meadwad have been the animated heroes of Adult Swim's beloved culinary adventure... and the eternal foes to their New Jersey neighbor Carl Brutananadilewski. Throughout the show, Frylock has been the wise leader of the pack, Shake will forever be the fast-talking schemer, and Meatwad the sweet, sensitive ball of meat and feelings. Aqua Teen Hunger Force helped give Adult Swim's brand of off-beat and straight-up weird comedy that has given way to the likes of Tim and Eric, Dr. Steve Brule, and The Boondocks. Though often abrasive and sometimes offensive, Aqua Teen Hunger Force helped make twisted humor a little more mainstream.

In a press release, the network and creators shared the following about what is to come for the end of Aqua Teen Hunger Force... which includes re-naming the series Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever:

In this latest installment of the fantastic adventures of Meatwad, Master Shake, Frylock and Carl, a court ruling has made divorce illegal in America. Heavily-armed, unhappy couples across the continent are tearing each other apart, and it’s up to Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever to give them the marriage counseling they need. Getting completely nude and replacing their bodies with shape-shifting liquid metal, the Aqua Teens travel through time to try and mend frayed marriages. Along the way, they must follow a recipe and prepare an unfamiliar dish, with a cast of celebrity chefs judging their every move. Prepare yourself for mediated arguments, crying children and burnt food!
