'50 Shades' & 'Wolverine' Share Something Special

Here it is: The question of the hour. Don't worry if you haven't studied or prepared — this one should be a no brainer. So, what exactly do the films Wolverine and Fifty Shades of Grey have in common, other than hunky male leads and ninjas (...I HOPE)? Oh, only the screenwriter! According to Vulture, Wolverine scribe Mark Bomback is rewriting the Fifty script, after Closer scribe Patrick Marber took a stab at it recently.

It's kind of a weird decision on the part of producers — not to say that just because he wrote Wolverine doesn't mean that he can't take on a steamy S&M love story with shitty source material (sorry, E.L. James), but taking one look at this guy's IMDb page, it's hard to see where anyone was like "yes, he'll do" with all the action movies on here. Total Recall? Dawn of the Planet of the Apes? Live Free or Die Hard? Get ready for Christian Grey to be dodging 100 percent more explosions.

Then again — Colin Trevorrow, best known for working on indie movies like Safety Not Guaranteed, managed to get hired onto Jurassic Park 4 because he told producers that he was a huge fan of the original movies back in the day. Is Mark Bomback really just a sucker for those Fifty Shades books? Something to think about.

Just add ninjas in this thing. It doesn't need to make sense, it just needs to happen.
