Hilary Duff Is Dating With Help From Tinder

Tinder: a dating app that isn't just for "normal" people. Admittedly, I know nothing about the application, except for the fact that you have to swipe left and right, which I still don't really understand completely. With that said, I learned something new about it: Hilary Duff uses Tinder. This is not a joke. On Monday, Duff revealed to Valentine in the Morning that she is talking to about nine different guys on on the dating app.

The actress only recently joined Tinder, but that isn't stopping her from chatting with as many guys as she likes and actually setting up dates with two different men. Duff admits that Tinder is "wildly addicting" and feels like it can't hurt to try out a few blind dates, because she's so used to having serious boyfriends. She's really jumping into the process. Duff has her first date on Monday night. She said, "I have my first date tonight and I'm really, really nervous."

Her first date will at a bowling alley, but she's not going alone. Duff admitted that she's bringing "some friends" along. Don't worry, her date is aware. Plus, he's also bringing a friend. She said, "I still have my training wheels on!" Even if the date goes badly, she plans on sticking around, because she's just "too nice."

Duff genuinely seems excited about dating someone who isn't famous, or as she puts it: "a total normie." As for her second date, she'll be going go-kart racing. No word on whether her friends will join that date as well.

Now, some of you might be wondering: "These guys know she's famous, right?" According to Duff, she's not so sure. "I think some people know. You only have your first name. Some people don't know. I think some people act like they don't know but they do. And a lot of people are like, 'This is a joke, right?'" Well, if they don't know the Hilary they're chatting with is the Hilary Duff, then they're in for a real surprise.

Doesn't this all sound like something from one of her movies? I can totally see her acting this out on-screen, especially when she described her attraction to her first date:

I think the first thing is obviously looks, which sounds super vain, but that is what you first go for: natural chemistry. Also what they say in their profile has to be funny. I don't want to see a shirtless, mirror selfie. That is instantly a left. I don't know. Someone who looks like they like to do fun things and someone who can make you laugh in their profile. My profile says: Let's eat pizza. I've had a lot of convos because of that.

See? Straight from a Hilary Duff movie, if I do say so myself. For my fellow Duff fans, let's think back to that time she starred alongside Chad Michael Murray in A Cinderella Story. Remember how she met Murray's character, Austin? Through the Internet! They had fake names and fell in love thanks to technology. Sound awfully familiar? Yeah, that's what I thought. Even though Duff encountered a lot of problems in A Cinderella Story, let's hope that isn't the same for her real dating life.

Duff shared a photo of herself bowling with some friends on Tuesday, but I don't know if this photo is from her actual date. Seeing as she probably didn't go bowling twice, once with her date and another time with her friends, I can only assume this is the group of friends she brought along for the ride. Whatever the case, she sure looks like she's having fun.

I give Duff props for going out of her comfort zone to get back in the dating game. Good for her!
