Steal Elizabeth Banks' Chic Parisian Style

by Rosie Narasaki

Elizabeth Banks is someone who's become known for her Effie Trinket-like love of brights (specifically, neon brights — which aren't exactly something you see on the red carpet every day). That said, her all-black look at the Paris premiere of Pitch Perfect 2 was, while consummately chic, somewhat of a departure from her usual style: She wore a halter-necked, textured Emilia Wickstead dress, paired with no-nonsense, pointy toe Sophia Webster stilettos, and a truly epic Anya Hindmarch clutch.

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Elizabeth Banks' love of neon (because who else is going to wear a searingly-bright canary Jason Wu ball gown? Or fuchsia Marc Jacobs covered in holographic sequins?), but I have to admit, I'm loving this new look on her — because even if it is considerably less colorful, it's by no means less interesting. The dress itself has some nice edge to it, which is definitely helped along by her judicious accessorizing — I'm especially in love with her clutch; in part because you can never go wrong with Anya Hindmarch, and in part because it's shaped like an honest-to-god crisp packet.

Let's take a look at Ms. Banks' latest and greatest:

The Clutch

Altogether very fab, right? Unfortunately, an Anya Hindmarch 'Crisp Packet' Clutch will run you back over $1,000, so it's not exactly something we can all afford. Here are a few options for how to get the look for less. The concept's pretty one of a kind, so there aren't any outright dupes yet — but here are a few bags with a similar vibe!
