Kimye Went Daring For The Met Gala, Of Course

by Alexa Tucker

Red carpet golden couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Met Gala looks were everything we knew they'd be — glamorous, chic, and edgy. Kim wore a daring sheer dress with minimal white beading and embroidery in all the right places, complete with a open back and a feathered train. As for Kanye, he looked every bit the fashion designer in a velvet suit. Hey, were we expecting anything less from Kimye?

Kim's intricate Roberto Cavalli dress may leave little to the imagination, but if anyone can make a revealing gown look classy and sophisticated, it's her. Then again, her confidence ensures that she looks phenomenal in whatever she wears. The reality star's gown isn't just any old thing, though: it's Cavalli's new creative director Peter Dundas' first creation for the brand.

She paired her gown with a sleek ponytail and minimal jewelry — or, depending on how you look at it, a lot of her dress is jewelry (obviously, strategically placed bling goes a long way.) Kanye accessorized his tux with, well, Kim. Or is it the other way around? In any case, this power couple has got the carpet on lock.

It's official: gone are the days of Kim's ill-fated "grandma's couch" dress of 2013. It seems like every event Kimye goes to is a chance for them to up their game and continue their fashion world domination. Is it sad that I'm already looking forward to seeing what they choose for next year's event?
