Kate Leaves Hospital In '70s-Inspired Shift Dress

Hooray! The second royal baby was born early Saturday morning (it's a girl!) — which means we can all finally go back to talking about Kate Middleton's outfits instead. Leaving the hospital on Saturday, Kate Middleton wore a yellow, black, and white floral shift dress by Jenny Packham, paired with classic nude heels (heels! After giving birth!). Throughout her pregnancy, Kate Middleton favored coats in just about every color of the rainbow, so it's refreshing to see her out in breezy dress. Spring really is here! Finally!

Naturally, Middleton was completely on trend. Between the mustard hue, the shift shape, and the groovy print, this frock fits nicely into the oh-so-hip '70s resurgence we've collectively become obsessed with. This post-pregnancy ensemble evokes flashbacks to the custom-made, polka dot dress (from far away, those flowers definitely look like spots) by Jenny Packham Middleton wore leaving the hospital after Prince George's birth in 2012. Fingers crossed that this dress can actually be bought in stores — though I'm sure it will sell out in seconds if that is the case.

Welcome to the world, little princess! Gosh, I hope they start wearing matching outfits ASAP. This look would be double-y amazing in a baby-sized version.
