Chanel Cruise Drew an International Crowd, Complete with All of Your Favorite Asian Celebs
This year's resort collection at the Chanel Cruise show was rather delightfully inspired by traditional Korean garments — so fittingly, the runway presentation was held in Seoul. Chanel's international shows are always fabulous (I'm still not over their Metiers d'Art show in Salzburg, by the way), but their Seoul show was especially great, as it garnered a lot more international Asian stars than their usual Parisian location does. Everyone from the Oscar-nominated Rinko Kikuchi to K-Pop supernova G-Dragon was there, and they were all dressed to kill — so let's take a look at their Chanel ensembles!
Han Ye-Seul
Han played up the crop-top trend to masterful effect, by pairing the look with a statement bolero jacket and a matching, tea-length skirt.
Jung Ryeo-Won
The former star of the ultra-popular My Lovely Sam Soon had a punk-y take on the classic Chanel tweeds.
Ko A-Sung
Ko certainly looked… uh, interesting in this oversized frock.
Gwei Lun-Mei
The Chinese superstar paired butterflies with ruffles and even bigger ruffles, to pretty fabulous effect.
Lee Jong-Suk
Lee, who recently starred in the popular drama Pinocchio, took high-fashion prep to another level with this double-breasted/intarsia sweater/rolled cuffs/white sneakers combo.
Park Shin-Hye
Lee’s Pinocchio co-star stunned in a tweed coat dress, paired with enviable waves and a fabulous orange lip.
Rinko Kikuchi
Kikuchi also rocked a serious orange lip, which (along with her pixie cut) injected some fun edge to her absolutely gorgeous lacy, bowed number.
Namie Amuro
The “Japanese Madonna” lived up to her nickname with pin-straight hair paired with a showstopping and dramatic black and white ensemble.
Nana Komatsu
The actress/model looked effortlessly chic with an embroidered sweater paired with a floor-length skirt and some serious bangs and a crimson red lip.
Yoona
Yoona kept up with the black and white trend, with quite the statement shirt paired an intricately detailed black skirt.
CL
K-Pop sensation CL really went all out with black and white dress, paired with statement thigh-highs, and what might just be the largest amount of pearls, ever (how cool are her pearl-shaped clutch and pearl-studded sunnies, by the way?)
