16 Quotes To Celebrate Mother's Day

by Emily Kelley

I think that we can all agree that our moms are the great humans on the planet. That’s why there are so many amazing books, movies, and quotes about motherhood and mothers out there. Whether she’s your BFF or your cool, adult friend, your mom deserves to be celebrated every day — though Mother’s Day is still a very special time to show her just how much she rocks.

My mom is my personal hero. She’s a career woman who raised two kids basically as a single mother and still found time to pursue her own interests and hobbies outside of motherhood. She has taught me a great many thing — maybe the most important of which is that feminism isn’t just in the words you say, but also the actions you take — and I can only hope that I’ll be half the woman and mother she is. I’m actually one of those people who isn’t afraid to turn into my mother (though it might be a scientific inevitability anyway).

So, while you’re picking out a last minute gift or finishing writing in your heartfelt card, enjoy some inspiring quotes about moms and motherhood that will make you want to hug mom extra tight on Sunday.
