Channing Tatum Posts Quite A Mother's Day Present

Sunday was that heartwarming and entertaining holiday known as Mother's Day, and, no matter what gift you ultimately ended up getting for your mother, you might be upset to know that Channing Tatum got her one that was way better. On Sunday, Tatum posted a Magic Mike XXL teaser for Mother's Day that was probably designed to make your mother consider leaving your father. At the very least, the teaser must have been designed to make your mother question her life choices. Of course, I myself start to find normal boys kind of boring after watching any Magic Mike XXL trailer, because seeing Joe Manganiello, Channing Tatum, and others strip is like seeing a bunch of Greek Gods descend from Olympus for our entertainment. But this particular teaser went out to the mothers specifically.

"This one’s for all of our #MagicMikeXXL Moms out there… here’s something to whet your appetite until July 1. Happy Mother’s Day from your boys," read the message that Tatum posted to his Facebook on Sunday. It accompanied a video that has since been viewed over 2 million time. As far as new footage goes, there wasn't much. Aside from bonus lines from Donald Glover's character, which fit with the Mother's Day theme ("Hey, mothers, meet some guys who ask for directions" — get it?) of the video, most of the footage in the new teaser is stuff we've seen before. Including, of course, that amazing visual of Joe Manganiello getting a little too handsy with a Pepsi fridge.

I'm not saying that the teaser might suddenly inspire you to want to become a mother, but I'm also not saying that many mothers didn't spring into existence just from watching it, if you know what I mean.

As far as Mother's Day presents go, sure, Tatum probably could have done something a little more heartwarming, like posting a picture of himself with his own mom or sending flowers to every house across America so those of us who forgot to actually get to the store to buy our mothers a present still had something on hand. But, when you really think about it, is there any present better for a mother than allowing her to enjoy Magic Mike XXL free from judgment? Heck, is there any present better than that for any of us? Yeah, I didn't think so.
