THE TRUTH IS FINALLY OUT THERE! Again! Almost! The X-Files is returning to television for one season only and we now have a premiere date. Ladies and gentleman, humans and extraterrestrials, Agents Scully and Mulder will once again rule the airwaves on January 24, 2016. The six-episode season will start off with a two-night premiere and then will air Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox. According to the show's creator Chris Carter, "The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories."

Five weeks barely seems like enough to get your X-Files fix. It's been 13 years since we last explored the paranormal with our favorite FBI will-they-won't-they pair, and only giving fans six episodes is downright cruel. At the very least, we can bet on the short run being jam packed with alien activity and sexual tension. Or just maybe its inevitable booming success will convince the producers and stars to keep going. A girl can dream, eh?

To prepare for the premiere — which is a long eight months away — here's a list of things every fan can do to get back into the X-Files zone. Enjoy... and believe.

The Summer heat is just about to hit and sometimes there is no better joy than cranking the air conditioner and marathon-watching your favorite show.

Make An X-Files Fantasy League For Your Friends

Points awarded for different scenarios and predictions like Gillian Anderson utters a very tongue-in-cheek "Oh my God," or we find Mulder in Howard Hughes like seclusion.
