You'd think that he was a natural after watching The Walking Dead, but, turns out, Norman Reedus wasn't always so good with a crossbow. Like anyone else learning to use a crossbow for the first time, he had to go through countless long, grueling hours of training that weren't without their...kind of bloody incidents. But hey, it paid off! He's pretty much a master at wielding one now. In an effort to show the world just how hard Norman Reedus worked to master the crossbow prior to TWD, Conan O'Brien got hold of a clip from one of Reedus' early sessions with his trainer — specifically, one where he discovers that you do not work a crossbow by simply throwing it at your assailant. This will not work with zombies, so please, do not try it if you're ever in a situation that calls for it.
Really, though: This skit is adorable, and if you were a Norman Reedus fan before, your heart will swell about ten times for him after watching this clip. Fact: If The Walking Dead ever so much as thinks of killing Daryl off, there will be ANARCHY.
