The Best Hillary Clinton One-Liners Ever

by Becca Stanek

When the name Hillary Clinton is mentioned, the first adjective to immediately come to mind isn’t usually the word funny. Intelligent, yes. Powerful, definitely. Experienced, no doubt. The media has described her as “disciplined,” “tough,” “determined,” “ambitious,” and “confident.” Her opponents have labeled her as everything from “calculating” to “secretive.” But funny? Not so much.

Well, Clinton supporters, here’s another reason to love your candidate: She actually can be pretty darn funny. Sure, she might not seem the most humorous when she’s in full work mode, complete with her big sunglasses and her Blackberry, but she has had her moments of sass and silliness. She’s taken cracks at just about everything over the years — herself included. And since she’s been in politics since 1982, she’s had plenty of opportunities.

Here’s a look at eight of Clinton’s best one-liners through the years. And the jokes certainly run the gamut. She jokes about her pantsuits, her relationship with Bill, her hairstyle, Rudy Giuliani’s hairstyle, and, of course, Republicans. So, without further ado, here’s an article that might just make you chuckle, instead of offering the typical political updates on funding, favorability, and fumbles. Let’s take a break for just a minute from being so serious about 2016.

It took a Clinton to clean up after the first Bush, it may take another Clinton to clean up after the second one.

You can always tell when the Republicans are getting restless, because the Vice President's motorcade pulls into the Capitol, and Darth Vader emerges.

On Mayor Rudy Giuliani's decision to give up his comb-over

Frankly, Mr. Mayor, I think your new hairstyle is the right way to go. After all, in Washington, the cover up is always worse than the truth.
