Rachel McAdams Looks Stunning On 'Marie Claire'

by Jessica Willingham

The long bob (AKA the lob, as the kids call it these days) has never looked better. Rachel McAdams covered Marie Claire, proving that short hair is here to stay, and for good reason. She looks amazing, ethereal, and still like that charming, adorable girl we fell in love with in The Notebook.

Her hair's dark roots and spiky, textured ends are a reflection of her latest character, a boss lady cop in the next season of HBO's cult crime show True Detective.

"I love that she's not the girlfriend or the wife," McAdams said of her new role, according to Marie Claire. "She doesn't really care what everyone thinks; she feels no responsibility for other people's feelings. She's not trying to be charming, which isn't always the case with a leading lady. There's [usually] sort of a responsibility to be a little bit likeable… Not that you want to be a horrendous character, just a little more human."

Well, you're still charming us, Rachel. She also sported a sexy, sleek red body con dress with cutouts and a super high slit in the magazine spread. Still, most of her looks were flowy and feminine, with minimal makeup and an all-shaggy lob.

She has us ready to say goodbye to our flatirons and round brushes. Carefree look for summer? Yes, please.
