Travel Size Skin Care For All Your Adventures

by Miki Hayes

Even though the summer weather is generally better for skin than other times of the year, summer travel can still wreak havoc, so the importance of travel size skin care products is just about doubled in the warmer months. Especially if you're flying to exotic or far-away locations, all that time spent on the plane is time spent drying out your skin. If you want to be able to step off your flight looking just as glowing as when you stepped on (and avoid those post-travel breakouts), there are a few things you can do before and during your time in the air.

The night before you fly, try to use a moisturizer that is a little heavier than what you currently use. (Your winter-weather moisturizer is a good option!) Make sure to use this moisturizer again before you board. And don't forget your lips, neck, and hands while you're at it! During your flight, it's crucial to stay hydrated. I know it's annoying traversing those tiny aisles to get to the tiny bathroom, but it really is important to continue drinking water throughout the flight. And no, those cups that the stewardesses pass out are not enough — buy or fill up a big bottle of water after you go through security. If your skin still needs a little extra TLC though, here are three products to make sure you have on your carryon.

Facial Mists

Facial mists are a great pick-me-up to have on a flight. Not only do they provide a little extra hydration, but they can also provide a shot of vitamins to revive skin and a relaxing scent.

Sheet Masks

Single sheet masks like these are perfect to use on the plane because they don't require rinsing off. In addition to adding moisture back into the skin, they can have treatment properties like anti-aging, smoothing, or brightening. It's like taking a mini spa-break mid-flight!

Eye Masks

Don't forget to show your eyes some love. Because the skin around your eyes is so delicate, it's especially important to keep that area hydrated. No-fuss, rinse-free eye masks like these will even help de-puff and brighten under-eyes.
