Your daily Miley Cyrus update comes in the form of this pretty sweet story: Miley Cyrus got a new tattoo last night, from none other then celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D. At first glance, it appears to just be a woman's face, which is random (was she just bein' Miley?), but apparently there's a lot more backstory to it than meets the eye. According to E!, the tattoo is actually of her grandmother, and based off of an old photo Cyrus has of her from decades past.
Cyrus revealed the meaning behind the tattoo when a fan inquired, stating that it was of her "Mammie." She also posted a picture of the tattoo on her Twitter, captioned, "because i am her favorite & she is mine." Doesn't that kind of just make you go "aww"? Maybe our hearts aren't as cold and lifeless as previously thought.
I'm sure there are going to be those people who say Cyrus is going crazy by getting another tattoo (think they'll blame that on Obama as well?) but what can I say? I'm a sucker for this story.
